GIZ has worked with us for over three years since 2017 where a hackathon was held at the Information Technology Institute (ITI) about a serious game that can raise awareness about interviews for blue collar workers in Egypt. Then multiple students projects over the next two years were developed in partnership with GIZ targeting blue collar workers different challenges. (2017-2018) had two games, ElMasna3 and Overoll, their challenge was raising job quality for workers. (2018-2019) had also two games, Blue Age and Olympus Daycare, their challenge was raising awareness about the health and safety issues at the workplace for the blue collar workers. Also, at 2018 a VR hackathon was held at the ITI, the goal was to develop a serious game that tackles the issue of health and safety of workers at the work place. The winner was a game called “That just happened” developed by Raskulls Game Studio.
Ubisoft’s Game Creator’s Odyssey is a game development course that is in form of video game. Blending Ubisoft’s expertise in creating exciting gaming experiences with Knowledge One’s e-learning experience and Concordia University’s academic rigour. ITI is offering Ubisoft's Game Creator’s Odyssey course to interns in Game Development Academy (GDA). Interns will get certificate of completion with Ubisoft and ITI logos.
Global Game Jam 2023

Our campus hosted an epic Global Game Jam (GGJ) event in February 2023, uniting over 400 participants of diverse ages and backgrounds for 48 hours of rapid video game creation around the theme “Roots.” We kickstarted the weekend with workshops covering game design, art, audio, programming, and pitch preparation.
during the last day of the jam the Minister of Communications and Information Technology visited the ITI and give some encorgument words to the jammers and the ITI students.
