Other Events hosted by ITI GDA
The Game Development Academy (GDA) provides fully funded training programs under the Information Technology Institute (ITI) scholarship. Each year new rounds of the 9-month and 3-month program take place at the ITI. Both programs require the students to develop a game before graduation using the tools and applying what they have learned throughout the training.
ITI Programs
9 Months
In this program the students take 5 months of courses and 4 months developing their own graduation project. The students go through a lot of tools during the conducted courses. The programmers start with programming basics and then learn tools like Unreal Engine and Phaser.js but heavily focusing on the Unity game engine. The artists focus on 2D tools by learning digital painting and vector art and 3D tools like Z-brush and Maya. Both the art and the programming tracks learn an equal amount of game design, design thinking, agile and soft skills courses like communication and presentation skills.

In this program the students take 3 months of courses and only 1 month developing their own graduation project. The students go through a lot of tools during the conducted courses to produce a 2D game. The programmers start with programming basics and then heavily focus on the Unity game engine. The artists focus on 2D tools by learning digital painting and vector art and character design. Both the art and the programming tracks learn an equal amount of game design, design thinking, agile and soft skills courses like communication and presentation skills.
